“Fatema Zahra, originally a resident of Mumbai, was in the process of shifting to Jamnagar with her family to live near her uncle when her sick father mysteriously disappeared ... from the railway station while they were boarding the train. Despite several attempts to find him, the family still hasn’t been able to find him and doesn’t know what happened. They spent all their savings on her father’s long-term medical expenses and were facing such hardships that it was difficult for them to make arrangements even for everyday living and food expenses. Fatema Zahra’s uncle provided her family support in whatever way he could; however, she and her siblings were still struggling to continue with their studies. She first contacted our agency partner in India – Husaini Education and Welfare Trust, in 2013 to support her for Grades 11 and 12 (equivalent to A and O levels.) We supported her for both years as she studied hard and secured good grades in 12th and got into a Government College where she completed her bachelor’s degree in science, all by herself. Passionate about a career in the medical field, she reached out to our agency once again for assistance with her Postgraduate (PG) Course in Microbiology. Alhamdulillah, we once again supported her for the Postgraduate course. As Fatema Zahra completed her Postgraduate course, she was immediately offered a job at the Intelligent Medical Billing Solution for Medical Coding and Billing department, which conveniently allows her to work remotely from home. Her work entails writing details of medical patients, like their case history, treatment given etc., in a mathematical format/code. She currently earns around INR 20,000 monthly, and with the demand in the current stream, she will be able to earn up to INR 40,000 – 50,000 in the next 5 years, InshaAllah. ”
